WELCOME to Ms. Hann's Website!

My name is Ms. Hann and I am delighted to be your new music, band, drama and high school English teacher this year. I am originally from Cape Breton, grew up in Summerside, PEI, and currently live in Lake Echo. So you can probably tell that I am a small town girl!

Despite being a small town girl, I spent much of my life in the big city. I studied my undergraduate degree in Toronto, ON at York University. There, I graduated with an honors Bachelor in Fine Arts (majoring in music and dance). I worked as a professional actor and musician there for a long time until I decided to move back to the maritimes to complete my education degree at Crandall University in Moncton, where I continued to also play music professionally.

I then took a job at another MDA, Maritime Dance Academy, where I taught dance, voice, guitar, piano and ran the musical theatre department. While there, I began my career at HRCE.

After many years, I decided to open my own performing arts school, the Young Performers' Collective. Which I still run today. Last year, I completed my Master's in Music from Western University where my work has been published nationwide. I plan to pursue a PhD someday.

I have taught at many schools from P-12 but I can easily say that this is my favorite so far! Thank you for being so welcoming and I cannot wait to meet more community members throughout my time here!
